I recently bought a built 427 shortblock out of an estate. The engine was built with very high end parts and had never been started. The block was a 1970 casting which was more suitable for a 454 restoration. I decided to tear the engine down and sell the individual components. This is a Summers Bros. gear drive assembly for Big Block Chevy engines. This came off the 427 engine described above. This setup was bought new for the 427 and was installed but the engine was never started. This setup is complete with all parts necessary to install. I would replace the cam bolt locking plate since the metal gets fatigued when it is installed and removed. Please be aware that installing this setup requires drilling and tapping the front maincap.
